The City of Fort Collins is situated on the banks of the Cache la Poudre River  along the Colorado Front Range in Larimer County, Colorado. Fort Collins is a college town, home to Colorado State University.

Money Magazine ranks Fort Collins as the #1 place to live in the United States. The population is diverse, ranging from college students to professionals to retirees. The City has a thriving local music circuit and is home to a number of well-recognized microbreweries. Old Town, an historic downtown shopping district, hosts a number of large festivals each year. The Fort Collins Balloon Festival attracts hot air balloon enthusiasts from around the world. Fort Collins' economy has been described as well-balanced, with a good mix of manufacturing as well as service-related businesses.
